Importing Hutto ISD Course Template Instructions

Instructure

Navigate to Canvas (<https://accounts.google.com/o/saml2/initsso?idpid=C00xwpa4w&spid=655619572136&forceauthn=false>)

Click "Commons"

Click "24-25 Hutto ISD Course Template"

Click "Import/Download"

Select the courses you would like to import the template into.

Click "Import into Course"

You should see a green banner that says your import has successfully started.

Click courses.

Or your dashboard to view your updated courses.

Open one of your courses by clicking on the name of the course.

Your course home page should now have the custom banner and buttons added to the home page.

To edit your home page, click the Edit button.

You can edit the text in the teacher name and subject banner.

Click "Save" to save changes.

Click "Modules"

View the tutorials in the Modules help pop up, or click the arrow to hide the tutorial popup.

Click the three dots to edit the name of a module or delete a module. A Module is like a topic or header of a section.

Click edit to rename a module, or delete to delete a module.

The week day names (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc) are just Text Headers. They are like dividers or subtitles in a module. They are not clickable. To edit the week day names, you can click on the three dots. Click Edit to edit the text, or click Remove to delete.
