How to Register for a Moodle NYSB Student Account

Follow this guide to quickly set up a new Moodle student account by entering your personal details and contact information. This walkthrough simplifies the registration process to ensure you can access Moodle services in minutes.

Navigate to [nysb.cbcnyc.org](https://nysb.cbcnyc.org/login/index.php)

Click "Create new account"

Click the "Username" field and create your desired username. NOTE that Moodle usernames can contain only lowercase letters.

Click the "Password" field and create your desired password. Please note your username and password in a safe place.

Click the on the remaining fields and enter your information.

Click "Create My New Account" once you've entered information into each field.

Click "Continue" and then navigate to your email inbox.

Click on the email from 'Admin User (via NYSB)"

Click "Confirm your account"

Click "Continue"

Upon confirming your account, you will be redirected into your Moodle Student Dashboard, which will be empty until you register for a course. To view courses available for registration, click "Course Catalog".

Click on any course title that you'd like to learn more about, for instance "101A How to Study the Bible, part 1".

If you are ready to enroll, first decide whether you will pay online through PayPal or submit payment by check or money order. To pay online, click "Send Payment via PayPal." You will be automatically redirected to the PayPal website, where you can complete your payment and finalize your registration. Please note that PayPal does not support discounted tuition rates (including multi-course, church member, or scholarship discounts). Students who qualify for a discount or who prefer to pay by check or money order should follow the alternate payment instructions provided below. In addition, note that a separate PayPal transaction is required for each course in which you enroll.

Students who qualify for a discount or who prefer to pay by check or money order should click on 'Enroll me' under the 'Self Enrollment' heading. Self Enrollment students will get an email with instructions on how to capture their discount or financial aid, and where to submit their check or money order.

If you'd like to enroll in additional courses, click "Course Catalog" again and repeat the steps to enroll in your desired courses.

All available courses will be detailed in the Course Catalog.

Once you've enrolled in your courses, click on your Dashboard tab to see your courses. Click on the course name to view any available information such as the syllabus (if submitted by the instructor) and the weekly Zoom link.
