Renewing a Program in Ascend

Useascend

A program can only be renewed in Ascend if it was initially billed in Ascend. If you are trying to bill a renewal for the first time in Ascend, you can [create a new program](https://scribehow.com/shared/Creating_a_New_Program_in_Ascend__Vt1JDWwWQsq_qfUi70EbjA)

Navigate to [https://dashboard.useascend.com/programs](https://dashboard.useascend.com/programs)

Select the program you want to renew

Programs are only eligible for renewal beginning 90 days before the end of the current term

Click "Actions"

Click "Renew program"

Select the policy you want to renew

Click "Edit First Quote"

Select the carrier

Ensure you are selecting the correct branch location

Select the wholesaler/MGA

Ensure you are selecting the correct branch location

Click the "Effective date*" field and select the effective date

Click the "Expiration date*" field and select the expiration date

Click the "Premium*" field and enter the premium amount

Click the "Agency commission*" field and enter the agency commission rate

Add any additional applicable taxes and fees

Click the "Minimum earned rate" field and enter the minimum earned rate provided by the carrier

Click here and upload the quote document

Click the toggle if you'd like to show the document to the insured

Click "Add Quote"

If you want to include multiple quotes, you can do that now!

Click "Review Program" and ensure all details are correct

Click "Renew"

From here you can initiate automated emails to the insured or send the checkout link manually!

And you're done!
