Settings

To access the 'Settings', use the navigation menu in the top left of the screen and select this option from the list.

Alternatively, you can access by tapping this option from the three dots in the top right of the screen which will direct you to the same area.

There are settings relating to the different areas of the application, each grouped under the relevant heading on the left. Tap the applicable option to display the details on the main screen.

Appearance

The app supports both Light and Dark display themes to suit individual preferences. The Light theme is enabled by default when the app is launched. To switch themes, select 'Appearance' from the Settings menu and tap the toggle to alternate between display modes. Across the application, toggles use colour and position to indicate status. A grey toggle on the left represents No or Disabled, while a magenta toggle on the right represents Yes or Enabled.

You can update this at any time by accessing the settings and amending your preferences. There is also a shortcut to this feature from the main address page, using the 3 dots in the top right to modify the display appearance.

Tap to show options and select 'Dark Mode' or 'Light Mode' as required.

Photographs

The photograph settings relate mainly to the time stamp feature. The toggle can be used to enable/disable this feature. NOTE: This setting is enabled by default, and we recommend that it is not modified unless specifically instructed by your internal team. Depending on the type of survey being conducted, this setting may be required to support audit requirements and maintain data integrity. Therefore, any changes should be made only after careful consideration and appropriate approval.

Within this section, the timestamp location can be configured by selecting the preferred location from the drop-down list provided. This will ensure the timestamp is displayed for any image uploaded or taken within the app.

The 'Generate photograph thumbnails' option is available for use when required. As the description beneath suggests, this will reduce memory usage to save some space on the tablet if you are experiencing storage issues. Tap 'Generate' to use this facility. NOTE: This feature is not intended for routine use. However, it may be recommended by PT Support in situations where alternative methods have not been sufficient to free up storage capacity on the device.

RdSAP

By default, RdSAP relies on users manually saving their progress while completing energy assessments. The 'Enable auto-save' setting enables automatic saving of assessment data, helping to prevent the loss of information during data entry or when exiting an assessment screen before manually saving. Use the toggle control to enable or disable this feature as required. NOTE: It is recommended that auto-save is enabled before carrying out RdSAP assessments to ensure assessment data is retained throughout the survey process.

Smart Survey

When inputting data within the smart survey, the software will display a pop-up confirmation screen after each element is saved. The first option in the 'Smart Survey' setting allows you to disable this function. Use the toggle provided to enable or disable this feature as required.

The 'Hide empty categories and classifications' setting within the 'Smart Survey' settings ensures that only the fields relevant to the selected survey definition are displayed. This feature is particularly beneficial for accounts that have multiple smart survey types configured, such as stock condition and retrofit surveys. By hiding categories and classifications that are not applicable to the selected survey, the interface is simplified and easier to navigate. Use the toggle control to enable or disable this feature as required. NOTE: It is recommended that this feature is enabled before starting any survey to streamline the display and improve the user experience.

The final setting in this section relates to the photos stored within the smart survey. This option is similar to the setting within the 'Photographs' section to reduce storage on the device being used. Use the toggle control to enable or disable this feature as required. NOTE: This feature is not intended for routine use. However, it may be recommended by PT Support in situations where alternative methods have not been sufficient to free up storage capacity on the device.

Data Services

CAUTION: Exercise care when accessing the 'Data Services' settings. As indicated by the available options, actions performed within this section may result in the permanent loss of data. NOTE: It is recommended that this section is used only once you have confirmed that all collected data has been successfully uploaded and that any required internal validation or quality assurance checks have been completed.

The first option within this section allows you to 'Remove all addresses' stored within the app. Selecting this option will permanently remove all stored addresses, along with any associated survey data held on the device. NOTE: Before proceeding, ensure that all required data has been uploaded, validated, and retained elsewhere if necessary. Once this action has been completed, the deleted data cannot be recovered. NOTE: Any data removed using this feature will only be deleted from the mobile app and will not alter or remove records that have already been successfully uploaded to your Lifespan Housing account.

The 'Reset Core Data' option removes the background data associated with your account from the device. This includes items such as linked attributes, values, rates, and survey templates. NOTE: As indicated by the setting description, this action does not affect any data currently referenced by completed or in-progress survey records. NOTE: Before carrying out any further surveys after performing this action, you must re-download the required 'Core Data' through the 'Sync Centre' to ensure your device has access to the latest configuration and survey resources.

The 'Port photographs' option should only be used following guidance from PT Support. This functionality is intended for specific user accounts and is only required in situations where particular criteria have been met. NOTE: Do not use this feature unless explicitly instructed to do so by PT Support. When directed by PT Support, tap 'Port' to initiate the process. The function will then transfer the relevant photographs in accordance with the support guidance provided.

About

The 'About' section provides information about the mobile application and the device currently in use. While you may not need to access this section regularly, it can be a valuable source of information when troubleshooting issues or seeking assistance from PT Support. NOTE: PT Support may request details from this section when investigating a support ticket or diagnosing application and device-related issues. Having this information readily available can help expedite the resolution process.

The application settings are displayed on the left, providing visibility of the app name, current version, account type and username.

The device details are displayed on the right, providing visibility of the device brand, model, operating system and serial number.

Logout

This version of the software does not support the ability to remain signed in between sessions. After closing or leaving the application, there is a short period during which you can return to the app and continue from where you left off; however, you will be automatically signed out after this period expires. If required, you also have the option to sign out manually using the 'Logout' function. NOTE: Automatic sign-out is a security feature designed to help protect account access and sensitive data stored within the application.

To logout of the app, use the navigation menu in the top left of the screen and select this option from the list.

Alternatively, you can access by tapping this option from the three dots in the top right of the screen which will complete the same action.

Upon logging out of the software, you will be redirected to the login page, where you can enter your credentials to sign back in when required.
