Creating Custom Interactive Map Layers in Paragon MLS

Learn how to define specific geographical areas and custom map layers within the Paragon MLS system. This guide walks you through setting up polygons and saving custom search parameters to streamline your property analysis and client mapping tasks.

Open Preferences

Click "Interactive Map Layers"

Click "Create New"

Give your map layer a name and select the appropriate owner level. Each layer may have multiple shapes added to it.

Click "Save"

Back on the Interactive Map Layers page, click the name of your new map layer group to start adding shapes.

Add a shape to your map layer the same way you would add a shape in the Search module.

Move the map to the area you want on the map

Click "Draw Polygon"

Click on the map to create the shape just like you would on a map search...

Click here.

When you complete the shape, give it a name and assign a color.

Click "Save"

You can add more than one shape to the map layer if you want. Click "Draw Polygon"

Repeate the process...

Click here.

Give the new shape a name and choose a color for it.

Click "Save"

Now you have an Interactive Map Layer that you can use when searching.

Open the Search module, select a class, and enter any necessary criteria in the search input fields (status, beds, baths, etc.)

Click "Map Search"

Click here to open the map layers

Click here to add your new layer to the map, then zoom in to see your map shapes

Click on your map shape to add the shape to your search criteria. **The map is not part of your search criteria until you click it.** (Maybe don't overlap your map layer shapes like in this example.)

Click "Run Search"

Your search results will be limited to the shape on the map.
