How to Add a Limited or General Partner

Learn how to add Limited Partners and General Partners to an Entity profile in SILO. Both roles are created using the same connection process, helping you maintain an accurate ownership structure and reliable reporting.

To begin, locate the **Entity** profile you want to add the **Limited or General Partner** to

Click **Profiles → Search Profiles**.\ Enter the entity name or Profile ID in the search bar, then click the **hyperlinked Profile ID** to open the profile

Navigate to the **Connections** tab.

Click **Edit**.

In the **Shareholders / Members / Partners** section, click **Add**.

Search for and select the profile you want to connect as a **Limited Partner** or **General Partner**

In the **Role** field, select the appropriate option: - **Limited Partner**, or - **General Partner of Limited Partnership**

If multiple addresses are available, select the correct address to ensure reports are populated accurately.\ Click **Create** to add the connection.

Click **Save** at the top of the page to finalise the update.

The **Shareholders / Members / Partners** table will automatically update with the new entries
