How to add a Beneficial Owner

Learn how to add a direct Beneficial Owner (BO) to an Entity profile in SILO. This guide covers Beneficial Owners who are connected as Directors, Shareholders, Members, or Partners. All connections must be created from the Entity profile to ensure ownership records are correctly linked.

To begin, locate the **Entity profile** you want to add a Beneficial Owner to.

Click **Profiles → Search Profiles**.\ Enter the entity name or Profile ID in the search bar, then click the **hyperlinked Profile ID** to open the profile

Navigate to the **Connections** tab.

Click **Edit**.

In the **Shareholders / Members / Partners** table, click **Add**.

Search for and select the profile you want to connect as a Beneficial Owner

In the **Create Connection (Shareholders / Members / Partners)** window, complete as many fields as possible to ensure a complete and accurate record. - Be sure to select the **Reason for Beneficial Owner** - Assign the appropriate **Role** (Shareholder/Member/Limited Partner) - Click **Create** to save the connection.

Click **Save** at the top of the page to finalise the update.
