How To Create A Volunteer Session For Hockey

Click here.

Click "Account"

Click "Volunteer"

Click "New Session"

Type in the name of your tournament. Ex. 12U A or John Wensloff, etc.

Click the "Description" field. Include whatever information you deem important. I listed the number of shifts each family is expected to work and listed the expectation that if a family cannot work a shift, they are responsible for finding someone who can. Perhaps you want to include directions like when to play the anthem, when to be there, etc.

Click the "Cancellation Window*" field.

I selected 2. I'm not sure if this applies, but a number is needed.

Click "Save"

You'll notice the shifts-template.xlsx template. You may download this to your computer and create a new spreadsheet with your tournament dates/times/locations.

I have already created a spreadsheet with tournament dates/times/locations that you may use, update and save to your computer. If you've used the template I sent via email, edit it for your tournament schedule, upload the saved file.

Click "Upload"

Once you've uploaded your template/spreadsheet file, enter any additional role instructions. Ex. remind Gamesheet workers to have coaches sign off on rosters before games begin.

Click "Submit"

Notice the red sliding tab -- your sign up will not be "live" until you slide it to green.

Look through your spreadsheet. If you notice extra shift boxes, like the two clock shifts below, you may choose to delete one. ..."

Click on the extra shifts to select what you want to delete. ` ..."`

Cells that are red have been selected and can be deleted. ..."

Click "Delete Shifts"

Click "Confirm Delete"

If your schedule changes, as it often does, you can select the icon below to adjust date, time, location of the shifts. I would also suggest emailing those volunteers who are signed-up for that shift.

Be sure to save any changes you make.
