Introduction to MagicSchool AI

Welcome to MagicSchool AI, one of the premium tech tools hosted by the district. MagicSchool is a great way to get your AI sea legs.

MagicSchool, a Virtual Teacher Assistant

MagicSchool AI is a set of tools designed specifically for students and teachers. Here's a Smore that I created for the district. It gives a good overview of all the things teachers might need to begin their AI journeys.

MagicSchool for Students

MagicSchool isn't just for teachers. Things called "Student Rooms" can be created by teachers to give vetted AI tools that were designed for their students. Student Rooms allow teachers to customize AI tools for students directing them toward desired outcomes.

Using Student Rooms

Please keep in mind that students see and are only able to use the tools you give them access to. You also have ultimate control by seeing how they use the tools and viewing their versions and work iterations as they work through your assignments.

• Magic School Next Steps with Student Room Creation (District Smore Newsletter)

The follwing is a Scribe with screenshots of what Student Rooms look like. Scribes are a quick and visual way to breeze through content.

Creating Student Rooms

They are not difficult to make. Teachers can launch student room in less than a minute or a tad longer with a little customization. The following is a Scribe detailing the steps.

Certifications/ PD

MagicSchool has created some very helpful resources to learn more. They share fast and easy 15-30 minute lessons. If you complete these you can earn PD hours and certifications. (Yes, they do give you a certificate after completion faster than you can say LPDC.)
