NotebookLM - Access, Create and Rename a Notebook

This guide provides essential instructions for accessing, creating, and renaming notebooks in NotebookLM, specifically tailored for Adelphi faculty and staff. Accessing NotebookLM

Navigate to a Google window or a new tab such as:<https://www.google.com/>

Or log in through your Adelphi "eCampus" portal.

Use the "Search our services..." bar to find Google apps.

All Adelphi faculty and staff have an **@adelphi.edu** account with access to Google apps. Since we all basically "live" in our email inboxes, it is easy to access through Gmail.

From Gmail, locate the Google Apps menu and open by clicking.

Find the "NotebookLM" icon and click to open in a new tab

Your recent Notebooks, should you have any, will be shown on the page; you can also filter for "My notebooks" or "Shared with me."

Creating a New Notebook

You can create a new Notebook by clicking on the "Create new" button.

You can also create a new Notebook using the "Create new notebook" tile.

Changing the Notebook Name

Double-click into this field to change the name of the Notebook. By default, all new Notebooks will be "Untitled notebook" and once sources are added, it will sometimes auto-generate a title.
