Creating Questions in the Question Library

Creating questions in the Question Library allows you to organize and easily update them across multiple quizzes. Additionally, using sections lets you create a pool of questions, making it easy to select random questions for your quiz.

Login to [VU Collaborate](https://vucollaborate.vu.edu.au), and navigate to a unit space.\ On the navbar, click **"Assessments"**

Then **"Quizzes"**

It’s recommended to create quiz questions in the Question Library for easy storage and reuse. If you’ve already created questions within a quiz, they can still be imported into the Question Library.

Click **"Question Library"**

To create your library of questions, you can **create new**, **import from a text file** or **import from an existing quiz**. To organize your questions and optionally provide information on a section of questions in a Quiz, you can create section folders.

**To create new questions**, click **"New"**

To create a folder, click **"Section"**

Enter a **"Section Title",** then click **"Save"**

To enter the folder, click on the **folder name**

Click **New**, then select a **question type**, i.e. "True or False Question (T/F)"\ Once created, your question will appear in the **Question Library**.

**To import questions**, click "**Import"**, then select between uploading a file, or browsing to copy question from a quiz.

**To upload**, follow the guide: [Creating Questions with the Quiz Converter Tool](https://vucollaboratehelp.vu.edu.au/help-guides/assessment/quiz-tools/728-quiz-converter-tool)to create a text file. Then, click **"Upload a File".**

Next, **drag and drop** or **Browse Files**, to locate the text file.\ Then click **"Import All"** to upload.

**To copy question from a quiz**, choose **Browse Existing Questions**.

From **Source**, select the required **quiz**, then tick to select questions

When ready, click **Import**.

Once created, questions can be selected to **Move**, **Delete**, or **Order** in the question library.
