Adding Products (supplies) in FarmCommand

Navigate to [https://www.farmcommand.com/](https://www.farmcommand.com/crop-planner/supplies/inventory)

Click this icon to enter the crop planner.

Click "Supplies"

Click "Manage Products"

Click "New Product"

Click here to select seed, fertilizer or chemical.

Click "Seed"

Click "Select Crop Type"

Type the crop you're looking for, or scroll to find it.

Click on your desired crop.

Click "Select Product Name." Type or scroll to find the crop variety.

Click the appropriate variety.

Under "Purchase Unit" click "Select Unit" and choose the appropriate unit.

This seed is sold as price per bushel, so we select "Bushel"* as the purchase unit.

Under "Application Unit" click "Select Unit"

This seed will be applied by the machine in pounds per acre. So we select "Pounds."

Click the "# Application Units" field.

Enter the number of application units in a purchase unit. In this case, how many pounds are in a bushel. For wheat, we have entered "60" because there are 60 pounds in 1 bushel. If you apply your seed as "Seeds/Acre" you would likely buy your seed in a bag or tote. So your purchase unit would be "Bag" and your application unit would be "Seeds." In the conversion box would need you to enter how many seeds are in a bag/tote.

Click the "Cost ($) / Purchase Unit" field.

Type the price you pay per purchase unit.

Click "Save"

Click "Cancel"

You see there is only 1 unit in your inventory.\ Too add more, click this icon - three dots.

Click "Add Transactions"

If needed, change the "Purchase Date."\ Click the "Invoice Number" field and enter the invoice number.

Click here to select what product you're adding inventory to.

Select your product from the list.

Notice you can choose between "Purchase" and "Return" transactions. Click the "Quantity" field.

Type the number purchased.

Click the "Price / Purchased Unit" field.

Type the price from the invoice.

Click "Save"

Click "Done"

Click "Close"

Now we will add a fertilizer supply. Click "Manage Products"

Click "New Product"

Click here.

Click "Fertilizer"

Click here.

Select from the options the type or state of the fertilizer, either liquid, solid, liquid and solid.

Click "Select Product Name"

Scroll to find the product, or begin typing.

Click the desired product.

Under "Purchase Unit" click "Select Unit"

Choose the unit by which you purchase the product. In this case it is purchased by the ton.

Under "Application Unit" click "Select Unit"

Choose the unit by which the product is applied to the field. In this case it is pounds.

Click the "Cost ($) / Purchase Unit" field.

Type the price for the fertilizer supply. In this case it is $400/ton.

Click "Save"

Finally, we will add a chemical supply. Click "New Product"

Click "Select Product Category"

Click "Chemical"

Click "Select Chemical Type"

Choose the type of product you are adding.

Click "Select Product Name"

Scroll to find or begin typing the product name.

Click on the desired product.

Under "Purchase Unit" choose the unit by which you purchase the product. In this case Mad Dog is bought by the gallon.

Under "Application Unit" choose the unit by which you apply the product. In this case it is applied by the fluid ounce.

Click the "Cost ($) / Purchase Unit" field.

Type the price of the product you are adding. In this case the product costs $70/gallon.

Click "Save"
