How to Configure Assessment Settings for Test Resits

This guide provides a straightforward process for configuring assessment settings for test resits, ensuring that assessors can easily manage resit attempts and eligibility thresholds.

To be able to configure assessment settings for 'Test Resists', you will need to ensure you have assessor rights.

In "Passport", click on "Training.

Now click "Assessments".

You will now need to search for the relevant assessment and then click the "Action" button next to it.

Next, click "Assessment settings".

You will now need to click "Setup".

You will now see a "Resits" tab, which can be toggled on/off. Only users with higher permissions will have the ability to see this setting.

You can now edit the maximum number of times a candidate can attempt a resit by filling out this field.

There are two types of resits: - Full resit: If a candidate fails but meets the eligibility threshold, they must retake the entire test. - Partial resit: If a candidate fails but meets the eligibility threshold, they only need to retake the questions they answered incorrectly. Toggle on one or both full and partial resit using the toggles.

You can now enter the eligibility threshold for each type of resit. This will determine the minimum score required for a candidate to qualify for a resit.

You can now set the "Partial resit eligibility threshold" here.

You will also see an option to allow the candidates to view previously selected answers during the partial resit. Toggle this on/off as necessary.

Finally, click "Save" and you will be returned to the 'Assessments' page which the changes added.
