Updating Educational Background in Digital Measures

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for managing and updating your educational background information within the Digital Measures portal as required by TTU and Texas House Bill 2504. Follow these steps to accurately add, edit, or modify your degree details and academic accomplishments.

Adding New Educational Information

Click "Log In to Digital Measures" after navigating to: <https://www.depts.ttu.edu/provost/academic-administrative-affairs/apsi/digitalmeasures.php>

Click "My Profile." Note any tasks you may have in the Tasks & To-Dos section of the landing screen.

Click "Educational Background"

Click "Add New"

Click each item to add your information.

Click the type of degree you are adding.

Add the name of your institution. If you do not see your institution, click Other/Not Listed, and you can type in the institution name.

Add the location of your institution.

Add your discipline to the Emphasis/Major/Postdoctoral Field text box. This is needed for credentialing purposes.

Click the "Year Completed" field to add the year in which you received, or expect to receive, your degree. If your degree is in-progress, click the checkbox near the Degrees dropdown.

Be sure to always click "Save" after adding data or making changes.

Save time by Duplicating Entries with similar data

You can save time by duplicating an entry and editing it. To do so, select the item you wish to duplicate on the left side of it.

Click Duplicate.

Make any changes to the item you are entering. In this case, we are duplicating the Bachelor's degree entry to add a Master's degree.

Make any updates to the entry.

Click "Degree In-Progress?" to indicate if you are working towards the degree but have not earned it yet.

If your degree is a terminal degree (highest level of degree in the field, typically a Doctorate, but in some cases a Master's degree), indicate it here.

Tip: Terminal degrees are typically the doctoral level, but some disciplines have terminal Master's degrees.

In this case, the degree will be completed in a future year.

Always click "Save" when you are finished adding or editing data!

When you are finished, you can click the Return arrow to review your other data. The steps in this guide are the same for adding or updating any data to Digital Measures.

Add Activity via your Profile screen

An alternative way to add your activity to Digital Measures can be accessed from your profile page. Click "Add Activity" on the right side of the screen.

Click "Single Activity"

Click the type of activity you are adding. \ \ In this case, click "Educational Background"

Digital Measures automatically highlights frequently accessed activity types, so if you don't see what the activity type you need, scroll down to find a list of all activity types. (If you are already familiar with DM, you may notice the activities are listed in the same order as in the old interface.)

The same fields appear as before for your entry.

When you have finished entering your data, click "Save Activity"
