How To View Additional Transaction Information in the Transfer of Expense System

This guide walks you through the process of how to see more information on certain transaction sources such as BARC, Recharges, or Payables prior to selection for a transfer of expense.

Initial Navigation

Click on the "Transfer of Expense" system from the Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC) dashboard.

Click "**Create**" to start a new transfer of expense.

Form Header Setup

Use the "**Requesting FRU**" dropdown menu to select the Source FRU. In this example, we are using "Chemistry".

Select either "**Project**" or "**GL**" as the ToE Source.

Click "Create Transfer Of Expense"

Next, select which transaction filters you would like to use. In this example, we are using the "**Accounting Period**" and selecting "**Mar-2026**". This will help narrow down the list of transactions.

Transaction Selection

In our example we are going to select the "**Journal Source**" to further refine our transactions and select "**UCSB BARC**" as the Journal Source.

Click "Search"

To see additional information about the transaction, such as the Student ID, hover over the hyperlink for the "Subledger Transaction Number". Then a window will pop up and you can see the additional information.

Examples of when this can be useful: - **BARC:** When you have several BARC transactions for the same amount, and you are trying to locate one individual transaction. - **Recharges:** Additional information about the Recharge, including the line item description and service date. - **Payables:** Additional information such as the Jaggaer (Gateway) Invoice Number and Supplier.

Click "**Select**" to confirm the transaction.
