Add an ACH Recipient

Learn how to add and manage payees within your United Community commercial account. This guide walks you through the necessary steps to input recipient details and configure account settings for seamless transactions.

Navigate to [**https://secure.ucbi.com/unitedcommunitybankonline/Uux.aspx#/landingPage.**](https://secure.ucbi.com/unitedcommunitybankonline/Uux.aspx#/landingPage) and log in to your online banking account.

From the menu on the left-hand side, select the **Commercial Functions** dropdown.

In the **Commercial Functions** dropdown, select **Recipients**.

**Tip:** A recipient is any person or company that receives payments from your business. For easy access on the *Recipient Management* page, you can set up individual profiles so funds can be sent or received by a recipient. After they are created, you can include them in multiple payments or templates.

Recipient details include name, email address, and number of accounts. To sort, click the **arrow** icon next to the *name, accounts,* or *email* column.

If you are assigned the Manage Recipient account permission, you will need to set up your recipients before you can send payments. In order to add a recipient, you'll need their contact and account information.\ \ To add a new ACH-only recipient, click the **Add** **new recipient** button.

Enter a name for the recipient in the *Display Name* field.

Enter the recipient's email address in the *Email Address* field.

Click the arrow under *Payment Type.*

Choose your preferred payment type from the dropdown.

Click the arrow under *Account Type* and then choose one of the options from the dropdown.

In the *Account* field, enter the recipient's account number.

In the *Financial Institution (FI)* field, enter the name of the recipient's financial institution. You can also search by routing number.

In the *ACH Routing Number* field, enter the recipient's ACH routing number.

Fill out the required fields for the beneficiary bank, receiving bank, and intermediary bank, if applicable.

Incorrect beneficiary details is one of the top reasons wire transfers are rejected. Be sure all information is correct before proceeding.

Select the blue **checkmark icon** to save account details.

If you'd like to add an additional account to a recipient's profile, click **Add account** and enter the required information.

You will need to provide the new recipient’s account information, including their financial institution and account number. \ \ Depending on the types of payments you plan on sending them, you will need to specify how users are allowed to send funds to this recipient.

Review the recipient's assigned templates and how much money they can receive by selecting the dropdown arrow next to *Templates*.

Select **Save Recipient** to finish adding the recipient.
