Daily Limits on Transactions

This guide helps you locate specific commercial banking activity settings to manage your daily transaction limits. Follow these steps to access the policy dashboard and adjust your account security parameters.

In the menu, select the **Transactions** dropdown.

Select **Activity Center** from the dropdown list.

**Tip:** On this page you'll find a list of your transactions originated within online banking.\ Some customers will have predefined daily limits for their transactions when ACH and wires are established. Limits are advised and set by United's Treasury Management support team.

If you attempt a transaction that exceeds your daily limit, the transaction will fail. For example, if your **daily limit is $4,500,000** and you've already processed $4,000,000 for the day and attempt to process an additional $1,000,000, this would exceed your daily limit and result in a failure.

To view your daily limit, navigate to the **Commercial Functions** dropdown.

Select **Company Policy** from the dropdown list.

Find your daily limit here, in *Company Policy*.\ When a transaction fails due to exceeding the daily limit, you need to temporarily increase the limit to accommodate the failed transaction plus any additional amount you might need to process.\ New required limit = Current limit + Failed transaction + Additional amount needed for successful processing.
