Submit Issued Check File

Learn how to submit and process an issued check in Positive Pay.

Each time checks are issued, you must create a file. This file must be promptly submitted to Positive Pay to ensure accurate updating of our records.

To begin, select **Commercial Functions** in the left navigation menu.

Next, select **Positive Pay** from the dropdown.

Select the **Submit Issued Check** tab.

Click the **Choose File** button.

Select the check image you want to upload and then click **Open**.

Once uploaded, click **Process File**.

A pop up will appear letting you know that your file is now processing. Click the **Close** button to dismiss the notification.

If there is an issue with check details or the image the status column will read **Rejected.** To view the rejection details select the 3 dots under the *Actions* column and then click **View Details** from the drop down.

A pop up labeled **Error Details** will appear stating the reason why the check was rejected.

This error will need to be resolved before you can proceed with processing your check.

If your check was processed with exceptions the status column will read **Processed with Exceptions**. You can resolve these exceptions by clicking into the **Exceptions** tab and following the [Review Exceptions and Decisions](https://scribehow.com/o/Ecppu6ZeReO6ZPSaltLgPA/viewer/Review_Exceptions_and_Decision__nmKcSBQfSd6QKj4Gka-2qA)process.

If check has processed successfully the status column will read **Processed**. This completes the Submit Issued Check process.

If you wish to make any additional modifications or updates to your account select **Launch Advanced Options**.
