Turn on Biometrics in Mobile Banking

Within United Community’s app, you have the ability to set up security preferences that are not available on a desktop computer. These additional preferences make signing into your Digital Banking quick and easy, and also add an extra layer of security to your private information while you are on the go!

Biometrics uses fingerprint or face recognition technology, allowing you to perform tasks on your Apple or Android device with just your fingerprint. With this feature enabled, you can quickly and securely access your accounts using our app!

Tap **MENU** in the bottom right corner.

Tap the **Settings** dropdown.

Next, select **Security Preferences** from the dropdown options.

To turn on biometrics, tap the toggle.

Review the feature benefits and tap **Continue**.

Next, you will be prompted to enter login and password.

Tap **Authorize**.

Scan your fingerprint. *Apple Device:* Place your finger on the Home button to enable Touch ID.

Scan your fingerprint. *Android Device:* Place your finger on the fingerprint scanner to enable Fingerprint Login. Location of scanner varies from device to device.

If your credentials are authorized, the *Biometrics* tab will appear turned on!

Next time you log into the mobile app, your session will be validated by a Face ID scan. You must have fingerprint recognition enabled on your mobile device before enabling it through our app
