To complete your 2025 CPD Plan, first ensure you are logged in on the RACS website. Then hover your mouse over your name in the top right and click on "My CPD".

You will be taken to your CPD Dashboard. From here you will be able to see the different sections of your CPD for the year. Make sure that you are in the CPD year for 2025.

Now, we can see that our learning plan goals are outstanding, and our reflection is in progress. This means there is additional information that is required on our learning plan before it can be marked as complete.

Click on the link that says "View/Edit Plan".

First, you'll need to select your relevant specialties. Go ahead and tick the boxes applicable to your practice.

Next, select up to three surgical competencies that are present within your learning goals for 2025.

Now it's time for learning goals. Write at least three learning goals that you had at the beginning of 2025 that relate to your practice.

Health and Wellbeing is important, step 4 requires you to consider what activities you have planned for the year to maintain your worklife balance.

As well as measures you took to improve your emotional, mental and physical health and wellness.

Cultural Safety and Health Equity are key principles and values of RACS. Including activities planned to improve how you provide culturally safe care to patients, carers and families support the committment to working towards equitable outcomes. Activities here could include things such as reading scientific journals on equitable patient outcomes, completing cultural safety elearning modules or attending conferences/webinars that explore cultural and diverse competence in practice.

For the second question here, this can include things such as being mindful of cultural inequities during M&M meetings, completing outreach periods or completing more hours in public health sectors.

Part of the CPD plan is completing a structured conversation with a peer or colleague once per year. This can include a performance review from your Head of Department or more informal discussions with a colleague regarding your skills, goals and practicing. If you have completed this, tick "yes".

Now we are at review and reflection. This is usually completed at the end of the year. Based on your previous learning goals, outline what you have achieved or may not achieved, and if not, what might help you meet your goals in the future?

Next, outline how your activities over the year have helped you to support an environment that is culturally safe for patients, their families/carers and colleagues,

As well as how your CPD activities over the year have helped you to identify and develop strategies that reduce health inequity and barriers to surgical care.

If you'd like to attach any documentation, you can do so by clicking "Add File".

Now, with the learning plan complete, you can click "save & close" in the bottom right corner.

After some time loading, we will be taken back to the CPD dashboard, where we can see that our goals and reflection are now complete, symbolised by the green tick and the words "Complete" next to them. Please note, the learning plan will not load as completed unless every text box has been written in, as well as if you have not ticked 'yes' to your structured conversation.

If you think you have completed all of the above and it has not updated, refresh your webpage by clicking the circle arrow in the top right.

If you have completed all of the steps outlined in this guide and are still experiencing problems with getting your CPD plan completed, please don't hesitate to reach out to our friendly CPD team through phone or email outlined here.
