How to Request an Exemption

This guide provides a step-by-step process for requesting a full exemption for CPD in 2026, ensuring you understand the necessary requirements and documentation needed.

Log into the RACS website and navigate to your CPD Dashboard

Click "Exemption Requests" on the left side of the screen

Click "Add Request"

You'll be taken to this page that includes information around CPD exemptions. Please be sure to read and familiarise yourself with the infromation here.

Scroll down. The dates will automatically be set to the CPD period you are currently in.

Click this drop-down and select whether you would like to apply for a full exemption or partial exemption.

Next, click this drop-down and select the reason for your exemption request.

If you select 'Other' for your reason, please specify the other reason.

then, click here and provide any additional information supporting your exemption request reason.

If you have supporting documentation you would like to attach, click 'add files'

Be sure to tick this box, acknowledging that the information you provide is accurate and that you could provide documentation to support your request.

Click 'Submit'

You'll receive a pop-up confirming you are sure you want to submit this request, click 'Ok'

You'll be taken back to your CPD dashboard

To check on your request, click 'exemption requests'

Here, you'll be able to check on the status of your request under 'Status Reason'. We can see that this exemption request is 'Submitted'
