Assigning Leader Roles in Trail Life Connect

This guide provides a straightforward process for assigning, removing, and managing leader roles within Trail Life Connect. It is essential for Troop administrators looking to streamline role management and maintain clarity in leadership assignments. * In general roles can only be altered by the TML (though some privileges can be delegated through custom roles.) * Only the SML can make changes to the TML role. * Only the TML can make changes to other Core Leader roles.

Log into www.TrailLifeConnect.com

Click "My Troop"

Click "Troop Members"

Click the dropdown arrow for the member you need to remove or add a role for.

Click "View Profile"

If you are removing a role, select the role to remove.

Core Leader roles can only be assigned to one individual at a time (TML, Troopmaster, Committee Chair, Treasurer, Chaplain.) For these positions, when a change is needed, the role will need to first be 'released' by removing it from the member account where it is currently assigned so it can be added to another leader's account.

Click "Yes, Remove"

Navigate to the member you would like to add the role to and select "Add Role."

Click "Select a user role."

Select the desired role.

Click "Add Role"

You should now see the assigned role appearing on the member profile.
