Personalize Your Trail Life Connect Dashboard

Create your own customized Dashboard layout in Trail Life Connect by making changes to how certain areas of the Dashboard appear.

Click the gear icon next to "Dashboard" to begin customizing your Dashboard.

As the instructions indicate, you can customize the way your dashboard looks by using any of the available options. (Note: some items cannot be hidden.)

Dashboard customizations will be role-dependent. If you are a leader who holds multiple roles, you can customize different dashboard layouts to be most effective for each of your roles.

Uncheck this box if you do not wish to display certain promotional alerts at the top of the Dashboard.

The option to show promotional alerts is now unchecked.

Scroll to the bottom and click "Update" to save your changes.

A message displays to indicate your preferences were updated successfully. \*(In the first step of this guided tutorial, a banner was visible near the top of the Dashboard for "Join the Adventure recruiting materials." This banner no longer displays after the update.)

Going back into the Dashboard customization settings, and scrolling to the next section for 'Dashboard Buttons,' provides the ability to select which of the icon buttons you would like to remain visible on the Dashboard, and which you would like to hide.

Drag and drop any button from the 'Visible' section to the 'Hidden' section.

Scroll to the bottom and click "Update" to save your changes.

The 'Visible' icons are now the only ones displaying, and those selected as 'Hidden' no longer display on the Dashboard.

\*Additionally, within the 'Visible' section, you can rearrange the layout of the available buttons to place them in an order that works more intuitively for you in your various roles.

For the next customization section, first note the presence on the Dashboard of the 'Calendar' section and the list of your upcoming events

If desired, you can click to uncheck the option to "Show upcoming calendar section events on dashboard."

At the bottom click "Update" to save your changes.

The Dashboard no longer displays the 'Calendar' section between 'Notifications' and 'Member Statistics.'

If desired, click to uncheck the box to "Show Troop statistics section on dashboard."

At the bottom of the page, click "Update" to save your changes.

Prior to the edit, the Troop related statistics displayed at the bottom of the Dashboard.

After the customization change, the Troop Statistics no longer display at the bottom of the Dashboard.

If your preferences should ever change, all of the customization options remain available by clicking the gear icon next to 'Dashboard' to allow for further customization, or to restore any items which were previously hidden.
