Create a meeting link for Zoom

Open Zoom and click the small arrow next to the **"New Meeting**" button.\ \ Click **"Copy meeting link".**

Open your course in Canvas and go to **"Modules".**

Click the **"+"** button under the module where you want to add the meeting link.

Select the **"External URL"** option.

Paste the link you copied from Zoom into the URL field. Name the page **"Meeting Link"** or something similarly descriptive. \ \ Click **"Add Item".**

Don't forget to publish you item to make it visible for your students.

Inform your students about you published link by making an **Announcement**. \ \ Click **"Announcements"** in the course menu on the left.

Click **"Add Announcement"**

Write your announcement (message) and then click **"Publish"** in the bottom-right corner.\ \ For example: *"There is now a new meeting link module x"*
BONUS - Add links inside your Accouncement

Highlight the text you wish to link.

Click on the link icon in the toolbar.

Choose whether the link should take students directly to the video meeting (in which case you paste the meeting link) with **"External Link"**\ \ or \ \ Link to content within the Canvas course (e.g. a specific module or page) with **"Course Link".**

Save the announcement. It is now visible on the course homepage to all course participants!
