Registering and Setting Up a Legacy Parent Portal Account

Learn how to create your parent account and successfully link your student's profile to the portal. This guide walks you through the complete registration process, including identity verification and adding student records.

Click "STUDENT & PARENT RESOURCES."

Click "Portals | Transcripts | STAAR."

Click "here" to register for the Parent Portal.

Click "Register account."

Click the "Your display name" field and enter your name as you want it displayed.

Click the "School Code" field and enter LegacySSS.

Click the "Email for verification" field and type your email address.

Click "Send verification."

Retrieve the Validation Code from your email.

Enter the code in the "Validation Code" box.

Create a password.

Confirm the password.

Click "Set Password."

You wil be taken to the login screen.

Enter your email and password and click "Secure login."

Click "Add Student."

Click the "Parent Portal ID" field and type the unique student code (provided by the school).

Type in the student's date of birth in the "Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)" field.

Click "Add Student."

You can now check the student's grades and attendance from the dashboard. Click "Add Student" to add another student.
