Canva for Students Getting Started

This guide helps Fordham students access Canva Premium through MyApps

**Open Canva from MyApps**\ Sign in to My.Fordham, open [MyApps](https://www.fordham.edu/my-apps/), and select Canva under Common Tools. **Select the Canva tile in MyApps.**

Tip: If you already have an active Fordham session, Single-Sign-on (SSO) may take you directly into Canva. You do not need a separate Canva password for Fordham-provided access.

**Important:** Always access Canva through the Canva app in MyApps.

**Continue through the Canva welcome screen**\ On first access, Canva may display the “Welcome to Students on Canva!” screen. Select **Continue**.

What is happening: Fordham SSO has authenticated you and Canva is starting the student onboarding flow.

**Complete the two onboarding questions**\ Canva may ask what you are studying and what you want to use Canva for. Select the answers that best fit you and **continue**. Question 1: What are you studying?

Question 2: What do you want to use Canva for? Select the answers that best fit you and click **Submit**.

Tip! These questions customize Canva recommendations. They do not change your Fordham eligibility or SSO access.

**At the completion of onboarding you are taken to Students (Fordham) group.** When viewing your account, you will now see the **Students (Fordham) team**. This team will have the Premium Canva tools.

**Going forward:** Return to Canva through MyApps whenever you want to use your Fordham-provided Canva access.

Note: If you already had a Personal Canva workspace using your Fordham email, signing in through MyApps will take you directly to Students (Fordham). Your existing Personal workspace will still be available, so you may see both a Personal and Students (Fordham) Team in your account menu. *If you did not already have a Personal Canva workspace using your Fordham email, you will only see the Students (Fordham) Team after signing in through SSO.* **For Fordham-provided Canva access, always launch Canva through [MyApps](https://www.fordham.edu/my-apps/).** *Personal and Students (Fordham) remain separate Canva workspaces.*
