Modify a contract

This guide outlines the self-service steps Account Holders can use to modify their contracts within the Customer Space. It summarizes the eligible changes and key limitations, helping customers efficiently update their contracts without needing additional support.

There are several modifications an **Account Holder** can make to a contract within the Customer Space, including: - Changing the **destination** - Adding or removing a **traveller aged 75 or younger** - Modifying the **travel dates** - Adding or removing **coverage** (including scenarios requiring a Health Declaration) - Adjusting **deductibles** - Modifying **Trip Cancellation** amounts - **Extending an Annual Plan** - Modifying the **maximum stay** of an Annual Plan - *Note: If the contract is **Effective**, only an **upgrade** to the maximum stay is permitted.* All eligible changes can be completed **self-service** within the Customer Space and processed using a **credit card**.

**Customers will not be able to:** - Modify answers to the **Health Declaration**. - Add a traveller who is **76 years of age or older**. - Modify answers to a **Health Declaration**. For these situations, customers will need to **contact Saskatchewan Blue Cross** so the contract can be updated.

- From the Home screen, select **Modify**. - Customers will be guided through a series of screens outlining the **eligible modifications** for their contract. They should make any applicable updates as they move through each page

The blue **toggle slider** displays the benefits currently included on the contract. Customers can toggle coverage **on or off** to add or remove benefits. Customers can also adjust their **insured coverage amounts** for **Trip Cancellation** and **Trip Interruption** during this step.

Once the customer has completed all applicable modifications, the **Terms and Conditions** page will appear. This includes information on **eligibility**, **pre-existing medical conditions**, and any **limitations or reductions** for each coverage. The customer must confirm they have read and accept these terms by selecting the corresponding **checkbox**.

If any modification requires a **Health Declaration** (e.g., adding a traveller who must complete one, or changing trip dates that now trigger a declaration), the corresponding **Health Declaration questionnaire** will generate. The names of the applicable travellers who must complete the **Eligibility Declaration** and/or **Health Declaration** will appear throughout the process. - If the **Next** button is **greyed out**, it indicates the customer has missed a required question. - If answers to the **Health Declaration** generate an **exclusion**, the customer will need to contact **Saskatchewan Blue Cross** for assistance.

Click "Confirm"

Customers will either be **charged or reimbursed** depending on the modifications made. If there is a **balance to pay**, the customer may choose to use the **existing credit card on file** (the same card used to purchase the initial contract) or add a **new credit card**. **Reimbursements will always be issued to the card on file.**
