Selling Additional Days (Extension) for an Annual Plan

This section provides a step-by-step process for extending Annual Travel Insurance coverage. It outlines how to accurately update traveller and trip details while applying automatic discounts for existing coverage.

From the **top search menu**, begin by searching for the **customer.**

From the **Home Screen** search bar, you can search all **Opportunities**, **Contracts**, and **Accounts** under the applicant’s name.\ \ Click the applicant’s name under **Accounts** to begin.

Click **New Opportunity** in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Verify the **customer’s information**. This information will automatically populate into the quote/application. Click **Next** to continue.

Complete all required fields for the **New Opportunity**, then click **Launch** to begin.

Complete all required fields for the new trip, including the **departure date** and **return date** for the trip that needs to be extended. ⚠️ ***Important:*** *The **full trip dates** are required when processing an **Extension**.\ The system will automatically **discount the days already covered** under the Annual Policy, provided the trip dates fall **within the Annual Policy coverage period**.*

1. Select the **desired coverage** for the extension. 2. The **Annual Policy coverage** will automatically be **discounted from the total premium**. Complete the application by following the steps outlined in the **Selling a Policy** tutorial.
