If you're already contracted with Aetna and are transferring your contract, skip to step 9 to complete contracting.

If you have completed contracting, skip to step 27 to complete certifications.

Navigate to your email inbox. Look for an email from [donotreply@contracting.aetna.com](mailto:donotreply@contracting.aetna.com) with subject "You have been invited to contract with Aetna Medicare"

Click the link in the email to get started. You should log in to "Producer World", Aetna's portal. [https://www.aetna.com/producer_public/login.fcc](https://www.aetna.com/producer_public/login.fcc)

If you have a Producer Work account, click "Yes". If "No", register for a new account and log-in

Click **"NO"** if you are an agent. Click **"YES"** if you are a Principal of an agency --> That means that you have an Agency licensed in your resident state with an agency NPN number (this is different from writing under your corporate entity. You can have an entity but not be an agency).

Complete the W-9. Follow the steps to complete and sign electronically. \*\*If you are contracting as an LOA agent then you will not be asked to complete a w9

Click "Continue"

Contracting process: Complete the information in each tab. Your contract will not be processed until your steps are all complete.

Click on your open case to begin the contracting process. If you are unable to get to this stage, please try logging into Aetna and following the instructions here: <https://scribehow.com/shared/Aetna_Access_Contract_via_Producer_World__Af1hZnKTQ66G-L4y1Ff1zg?referrer=search>

Click "Licenses"

Review each page of license information for accuracy

Click "Background Questionnaire"

Review each page and select the appropriate answer for yourself

After you finish the Background Questionnaire, click "Background Authorization"

Complete each page of the Background Authorization and sign electronically

After you finish the Background Authorization, click "Banking Information"

Click the "Bank information changes submitted via this form apply to all Aetna lines of business" field if that is relevant for you.

Select the Bank Account Type. You will only have the option to choose Checking or Savings.

Enter your banking information

Click "Next" to complete the Agent Contract form.

After you've completed each tab, click "Submit to Aetna Medicare"

Click "Yes". You might have to wait for 30 seconds for the page to refresh. Do not click away while you're waiting.

You'll see a confirmation that your case was updated

Click the home icon on the left panel

You'll then see the case appear in the "Certification Validation" phase.

After completing the contracting process, you should expect to wait 3-5 business days before you receive an email inviting you to complete certifications. The notification will come via email from: [MedicareBrokerNews@comms.aetna.com](mailto:MedicareBrokerNews@comms.aetna.com) with the subject, "Action Needed: Complete 202X Aetna certification". You can access the certification site at: <https://aetna.cmpsystem.com/page/login>

You will receive an email confirming that you can start certifications.

Click "Click here to complete 202X Aetna MA/MAPD and/or SilverScript PDP certification"

After logging in, click "Continue Producer Registration" and DO NOT enter information into the "Employee ID" field.

Click "Aetna"

Click "Find My Training"

Click "202X Aetna Individual Medicare Certification" to complete the certification.

Then, continue onto the AHIP Medicare Training. Once you complete the certification modules, you will be certified!

If certifications are not completed, you will receive an email notification approximately 3 weeks later from: [MedicareBrokerNews@comms.aetna.com](mailto:MedicareBrokerNews@comms.aetna.com) with the subject, "Action needed: Complete 202X Aetna certification".
