Approving a Permit to Work

Learn how to navigate the HammerTech dashboard to review, sign, and activate a work permit. This guide covers the process for Permit Issuer and Holder to confirm safety controls, authorise work, and officially start the permit.

Alert! Permits sitting in Pending Review Status have been initiated by Subcontractors. Ensure to review contents and completed the General Permit Requirements and capture all Permit Declaration sign offs prior to approval.

Click the notifications bell in the top navigation bar.

A notification that a subcontractor has requested a permit is visible. Click "View Details" on the permit notification and it will take you directly to the permit record to review.

Alternatively, you can Click "Permits" in the sidebar. Select "Review Pending" from the menu.\ Select the permit you wish to review from the list.

Click the "Details" button of the permit.

Click "Options" then Click "edit"

Review the details that have been entered against the permit request. Update any areas that require changing.

General Permit Requirements

Confirm the general permit requirements and complete the required checks.

**Permit Issuer** to capture the signature and acknowledgement of the Permit Holder.

Click "Approve Permit" when conditions met to issue permit.

Start Works on Permit

Select "View All" from the Permits menu.

Click **Start Work** for the approved permit.

Scroll to the very bottom of the form and enter the required signature name to start work.

Click the **Start Work** button to finalise the activation.

Click "Details" on the in progress Permit.

Worker to Scan QR code to sign onto permit and begin works acknowledging controls are in place and work in accordance to the issued permit. Select download to download the Permit sign on QR code.
