Configure Permit Zones

Learn how to manage your project site diagrams and configure specific permit zones within the HammerTech platform. This guide walks you through the steps required to update zone settings and assign the appropriate permit types for your site operations.

Add Site Diagrams

Alert! Site Diagrams need to be added first, to allow for configuration of the permit zones. Project Admin User access required to complete these steps.

Navigate to "Project Settings" in the sidebar menu. Select "Site Diagrams".

Click the blue plus button to add a new diagram.

Name the diagram and upload an site map/ image.

Check the Permit Type tick box. If this box is not ticked, you will not be able to configure your permit zones.

Click the **Create** button.

Configure Permit Zone

Select "Permits" in the side bar menu then click "Configure Zone". Click the + button to add a new Permit Zone

Name the Permit Zone.

Open the colour picker and select a colour to represent the zone. Hit the select button to allocate colour.

If you tick box the *Only allow one active permit in the zone at a time*, only one permit can be issued at a time in that zone. Note: This should only be selected in required circumstances, not for general set up of a permit zone.

Select required Site Diagram dropdown menu that the zone is allocated to,

Click Edit to define the zone polygon

Define the zone boundaries by clicking on the diagram to create polygon points

Click Save Changes to finalize the polygon area

Select Print from the Options menu

This will provide a download of a QR code linked to the Permit Zone. These posters can be displayed on site for workers to see what permits are active when entering that permit zone.
