How to sign workers onto a SWMS

As a BMD User, this guide shows how to allocate inducted worker/s to an accepted SWMS and how to capture worker/s signatures against the SWMS.

Click "SWMS" in the sidebar menu.

Click "View All" to see the complete list of SWMS records.

Select the SWMS you are wanting a worker to sing on to.

Alert! SWMS have to be in status ACCEPTED for a signature to be captured against it.

Inducted Worker/s can be assigned to SWMS that are pending, but that worker would not be able to sign against the SWMS until it is in status *Accepted.*

Allocate worker/ subcontractor company to a SWMS

First the inducted worker/s need to be allocated against a SWMS. To capture an inducted worker/s signature against an approved SWMS - Select "Options" then select "Edit".

You then need to scroll down the page to the *Personnel Assigned to this SWMS* section. Only inducted workers for this subcontractor company will appear here.

To share the SWMS with subcontractors (e.g. when working with BMD SWMS), select the relevant companies in the *Assign to Other Employers*section. Tick the checkbox next to each subcontractor or use **Select All** if the SWMS applies to all listed organisations. This ensures the selected subcontractors are included and have visibility of the SWMS and inducted workers for those companies can sign view and sign onto the SWMS.

Click "Save Changes"

Capturing Workers Signing onto to SWMS

Alert! Inducted Worker/s must be allocated to an approved SWMS (as per allocation steps) to be able to sign onto the SWMS.

Once a worker is allocated to a SWMS, within the SWMS record, scroll down the *Personnel assigned to this SWMS* section. Capture the worker/s signature can be captured by **Send Reminder** or **Sign** options.

Click **Send Reminder** to notify personnel who have not yet signed. (the worker/s will be required to sign on via the notification they have received).

If a worker can not sign on via Send Reminder Options Click **Sign** and allow the worker/s to sign. Worker/s must read and understand the SWMS they are singing onto.

Workers can Sign the SWMS Signoff form and submit the signature.
