Permit - Start Works

This guide shows how to activate a permit so physical work commence. It shows how to monitor active permits on registers, boards, maps and how to view who’s signed in.

Alert! Permit must be created, reviewed and approved for this step to appear. The Permit date of the approved permit must be current for it to appear. Future permits will show approved status, but not have the Start Work option.

Go to the permit register. Select Permit from the side bar menu then select view all.

When ready to commence physical works, click on the **Start Works** button.

Within the permit record, scroll to the very bottom and see the Expand the "Start Work Details" section. The **Permit Issuer** or Permit Holder can sign the Start Work Details.\ Click the **Start Work** button.

The permit is now *In Progress* and the **Stop Work** button is now visible in the register. *Worker can now sign onto this permit.*

Within the permit records, a QR code will now appear. Workers can scan this QR Code, or scan the code that is downloaded and printed.\ Click Download then "Export QR Code".

Once workers have signed onto the permit - go to options Sign in book to view who has signed onto the permit

Permit Board

Tip! Permit Boards can be shared to project TV devices if used at Pre-starts to see active permit issued on site. QR codes for Permit Zones can also be printed to view the active permits in an area on site.

Under "Permits" in the side bar menu, select "View Board"

This will show the active permit on site.

In the sidebar menu under "Permits" Click "View Map"\ Select a zone on the interactive map.

"Workers Currently In Zone" warning message will appear when active permits are in the zone and workers have signed onto the permit.
