Add Staff to a Schoology Course

*Step 6 is critical to follow depending on the role of the staff member (CoTeacher, Instructional Aide, and PLC member)

Schoology

Navigate to the course in Schoology.

Click "Members"

Click "Add Members"

Click the "Search" field, type the **last name** of the staff member, and press [[enter ]]to search. \*Make sure the correct building is selected. Select the person you want to add. Click **Add Members.**

Click the **gear icon** to the right of their name. Click "Make Admin" Click "Confirm"

Click the **gear icon** again. Click "Set Section-level Role"

Select the appropriate section-level role: - For **Co-Teachers,** select "Edit Grades/Edit Materials" - For **Instructional Aides**, select "No Grades/View Materials" - For **PLC members**, select "No Grades/View Materials" Click **Save**.

Alert! If you use **Google Assignments** in Schoology, you have an extra step to take. Once you create your first Google Assignment, open your Google Drive, locate the folder for that Schoology course (this is auto-created when you make your first Google Assignment), and share the folder with your co-teacher. This allows them to view student work. They will not be able to view it in Schoology.
