How to Log In to SmartBoard- Update Sept 2026

This guide will walk you through the process of logging into the SMART Board using your district Google account and setting up your ID card for quick access.

Google Account

On the bottom right of SMART Board screen, click on the person icon to open the Smart Sign-in. Scan the QR code using your phone or computer, or open the website displayed on the board.

On your device, go to:[**boardlogin.smarttech.com**](http://boardlogin.smarttech.com)\ Type the code that is displayed on the SMART Board screen.\ Click **Google** to sign in with your district Google account. *\*You may also see prompts to confirm that you are an adult, choose a display name (ex. Mrs. Carrigan), and agree to the Terms of Service*.

Set Up Tap Card Login

On the board, tap the icon on the far right. It may show your emoji or your first initial.

Select **Create ID Card** to set up your tap card so you can log in by tapping your badge.

Enter a **sign-in PIN (minimum 4 symbols)** that will be connected to your tap card.

Hold your **tap card over the SMART Board card reader** for a few seconds until it is detected.

A message will appear confirming that **your ID card was successfully added**. Tap **Done**.

Connecting your Google Account

From the Settings menu, select **Apps**.

In the Settings menu, select **Security & privacy** from the left-hand menu, then choose **Set screen lock**.

Choose the **PIN** option.

When choosing When choosing a screen-lock PIN, consider using the same PIN as your Tap card so it is easier to remember.

The **Security & privacy** menu will now prompt you to add your Google account.

You will be prompted to sign in with Google on the board.

Enter your district login information when prompted. You will need your phone to MFA verify.

Read the Google services agreement. Click **I Agree** to continue.

Click on the person icon for the Smart Sign-in option. Your SMART profile will appear on the board. Verify that your **name and account** are displayed correctly.

Open up Google Chrome, and sign in to Chrome to access your bookmarks and more.
