Schedule Teams Meetings in Outlook

These instructions are for Mac users scheduling meetings in the Outlook app. You can also schedule meetings using the web version of Outlook—just follow the same steps, keeping in mind that the interface may look slightly different.

Schedule Teams Meeting

Open your Outlook app and navigate to your calendar.

Double-click on the meeting date and time to create a new event.\ Modify the details of the meeting.\ Click the "Teams meeting" toggle so that it appears green.\ Click "Save"

Modify Meeting Options

Click the meeting

Click the arrows in the top right corner

Click "Meeting options"

Scroll down to "Who can bypass the lobby?" Select "Only organizers and co-organizers"

Scroll down to "Who can present" Select "Only organizers and co-organizers"

Scroll down to "Meeting chat" Select "In meeting only"

If you want transcriptions automatically, scroll down to "Recording & transcription" Select toggle to enable this setting. Change access to the transcript here.

Click "Save"

Access Meeting Link

Click the event on your calendar. Click "Join"
