Agents: Adding a Perennial Line of Insurance (DO Plan)

This guide quickly shows agents how to add and configure a perennial insurance line (DO) in the system, including unit/practice/type setup, farm/share details, and saving. It also covers entering acres and plant dates, rating the policy to generate premiums and yields, and the limitation that estimates won’t show fees. Finally, it reminds agents to scan signed documents into AgriNet.

Agrisompo

Click the "Actions" button.

Scroll down and select the "Add Line" option.

Select the "Unit" option and key the desired Unit information.

Select the "Practice" dropdown and select the practice type.

Select the "Type" dropdown and select the correct type.

Key the "Farm#" and "Farm Name" if desired. The "Share" will default to 1.00. Re-Key if desired.

Key any additional information, and verify all that is keyed is correct. Once verified, click the "Save" button.

Click "Close" to return to crop summary

Adding Acres and Plant Date

Click the "Edit" button next to the Line.

Key the "Acres" and "Plant Date", once verified to be correct, scroll down and click the "Save" button.

Scroll up and click the "Close" button.

Policy Rating

To see premiums, the policy/estimate will need to be rated. To do this, click the "Actions" button.

Scroll down and click "Rate Policy" to calculate premiums.

The Estimate will now show premiums, and a yield. **NOTE:** An Estimate will not show/generate "Fees".
