Agents: Keying Annual Forage

This guide is essential for anyone involved in keying Annual Forage policies, providing a step-by-step process to navigate Agrinet. It details the necessary actions to add policies, coverage, and fields, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Both processes of adding grids are listed below by both direct key, or using the Mapping system.

Agrisompo

Navigate to <https://agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy> and sign in using Duo.

Click the crop year dropdown to make sure to key the correct crop year.

Click the "Search Insured or Policy" field and key the insureds name or policy number.

Click the insured's name from the left column.

Add an Annual Forage Policy

Click the "Actions" tab.

Click "Add Policy".

Select the correct data from the drop down boxes and then click "Save".

Click the estimate number from the left column.

Click the "Actions" tab.

Click "Add Coverage".

Select the county and Commodity and then click "Create".

On the coverage information screen, key the Plan, Type, Options, Level, and the Productivity Factor will default to 1.5, but can be edited. Key all Intervals and Percentages as desired. Also, at the bottom of the screen, if a new transfer, key the Previous Company and Policy Number. Once all data has been keyed, click "Save".

Click "Close".

Click the "Edit" button on the commodities screen.

Select the Growing Season to add a "Grid" to.

Populate the "Quick Reporting Defaults" by choosing the Plant Date, and selecting from the drop downs for available types.

Adding a field using the Direct Key Method

Click the green "Add Field" button.

Key the "FSN", "Tract", and "Field" information. The acres will auto-populate with the CLU acres. (If a partial field, edit the acres to match the planted acres at this time.) After keying the CLU info, the blue box will populate at the bottom of the screen. Click on it. NOTE: "Latitude", "Longitude", and "POR#" will auto-populate.

Key the "Insured Acres", and then select "Save"

Click "Close".

The Growing Season will look as below on the "Lines" tab.

Rainfall Index Mapping Basics

1. Use the + and - signs to zoom the map and and out. (The map can also be zoomed by using the scroll on your mouse.) 2. This will zoom the map to ensure all the shapes are visible on the map. 3. This tool will allow you to move the point of reference number. 4. By clicking this icon, the CLU layer will appear on the map. Click on a CLU to add to the map.

Search the map by one of the following criteria: FSN, CLU, Lat/Long. Click on the "Key" icon to learn more about the search criteria.

The legend in the bottom right corner of the map will allow you to toggle additional layers on and off.

Mapping AF: Adding a CLU

Click on the "Search CLU or Lat/Lon" field and enter the CLU information. Then, click the "Magnifying Glass" icon to initiate the search, and the system will direct you to the location associated with the entered CLU.

Click the "Add CLU field using points" icon to enable the CLU layer, then click inside the CLU to select it.

NOTE: The green dot, is now the "POR or Point of Reference"

Once the CLU has been selected and is highlighted, click the mapping icon again to minimize it.

Tip! Fill in the "Quick Reporting Defaults". The selections will apply to all selected fields.

Key the "Plant Date", "Commodity", Commodity Type", and "Intended Use" from the drop down selections and then click the POR/Grid ID at the bottom.

Key the "Insured Acres" to match the "Insurable Acres" and then click "Save".

The Growing Season will look as below on the "Lines" tab.

Print Forms/Reports

Click the "Printer" icon.

Scroll down and click "Rainfall" from the left column.

Choose from any of forms from the right column.
