Agents: Keying a Cranberry policy into AgriNet

This guide saves time and avoids errors by walking you step‑by‑step through creating a complete crop insurance policy for cranberries in AgriNet — from adding the policy and coverage to building detailed lines (units, acres, planting info, tree counts) and completing APH records. Agrisompo

Navigate to [AgriNet](https://agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy) and sign in using the Duo push process.

Select the correct crop year to work in.

Click the "Search Insured or Policy" field and search by insured's name.

Adding a New Policy

From the Insured's screen, click the "Actions" button.

Scroll down and select "Add Policy".

The "Agent", "Policy Type" and "State" are required at this time. An "Authorized Rep./POA" can be added at a later time if desired. Once all information is keyed, click the "Save" button.

Adding Coverage

From the commodities screen, click the "Actions" button.

Scroll down the drop down list and click "Add Coverage".

From the drop down list, select the "County" and "Commodity". The "Insurance Type" defaults to "Standard MPCI". Once verified that keyed information is correct, click the "Create" button.

After AgriNet creates the coverage, the "Coverage Information" screen will pop-out. Select the "Plan" drop down list and select "APH".

Select the "Level" drop down option and select the percent of coverage. **NOTE:** The "Price Percent" will default to 1. Leave as defaulted or set to range indicated above the box.

**NOTE:** Key any additional desired information at this time, such as "Options", "Type" and etc... However they are not required for the policy. Sign Dates and Signing Agent are NOT required at this time and can be keyed at a later date. Once all keyed information has been verified correct, click the "Save" button.

Click the "Close" button.

Adding a Line of Insurance

Click the "Actions" button.

Scroll down and select the "Add Line" option.

Select the "Unit" option and key the desired Unit information.

Select the "Practice" dropdown and select the practice type.

Select the "Type" dropdown and select the correct type.

Key the "Farm#", "Block", and "Farm Name" if desired. The "Share" will default to 1.00. Re-Key if desired. Click the "Acres" field and key the Acres.

Click the "Plant Date" field and key the bog plant date.

Scrolling down the page, click the "Tree Count" field, and key the total tree count.

Click the "Tree Count" field and key.

Click the "Plant Spacing" field and enter the spacing between cranberry vines (typically 12 to 18 inches). If spacing varies throughout the bog, select the "Varies" box.

Click the dropdown list from the "Planting Pattern" and select which applies. NOTE: If vine cuttings are used and there is no planting pattern, select "Other".

If a "Variety" is known, key in at this time; however, it is not required. Key any additional information, and verify all that is keyed is correct. Once verified, click the "Save" button.

Click the "APH" tab, from the left side. **NOTE:** Description and "Fields" tab are not required to be populated on most perennials or specialty crops.

At this point an APH database will show with "T" yields pre-populated. To key a producers prior database, click on the corresponding year a begin to key.

Click the "APH Complete" radio box once all information has been keyed.

Click the "Save" button one last time.

Click the "Close" button.

Click "Smith, Bill J. OR-3656096 - Coos (Cranberries) 0.80 acres Actions Crop Summary Edit View Coverage App P/R A/R Delete APH - YC/YA - 80% NOTE: The Line is now built with the APH information and is reflected on the "Crop Summary" screen.

Repeat the steps above to continue to add more lines to the policy.
