Agents: Keying and Mapping Pasture, Rangeland, and Forage Policies

Agrisompo

**Note:** The RMA recently updated the allowable range for the January-February interval. The range has changed to **10% to 25%**. This update has been implemented on both the **Quoting** and **Policy** sides of AgriNet.

Navigate to <https://agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy> and log in.

Start by selecting the crop year to work in.

Click the "Search Insured or Policy" field and search by insured's name or policy number.

Adding a New Policy

To add a new policy, click the "Actions" button.

From the drop down list, click the "Add Policy" selection.

Select the correct Agent on file from the "Agent" drop down list.

The Policy Type will remain defaulted. Select the appropriate state from the "State" drop-down menu.

An Authorized Representative/Power of Attorney can be added at this time if needed, or at a later date if preferred. Once all information on the screen has been verified for accuracy, click the "Save" button.

Adding Coverage

Now that the policy/estimate has been created, the next step is to add coverage. To do this, click the "Actions" button.

Scroll down the drop down list and click the "Add Coverage" option.

Select the appropriate county from the "County" drop-down list for the state selected.

Select "Pasture, Rangeland, Forage" from the "Commodity" drop-down list.

The Insurance Type will remain defaulted to "Standard MPCI." Click "Create" to continue.

From the Coverage Information screen, Select the "Rainfall Index" option from the Plan drop down list.

Select the desired coverage level from the "Level" drop-down list.

Click the "Productivity Factor (Valid Range: 0.01-1.50)" field and enter the desired Productivity Factor for the policy.

From the "Type" drop-down list, select either "Haying" or "Grazing." **NOTE**: "Grazing" does not require a Practice Type. However, if "Haying" is selected, a Practice Type is required.

An Assignment of Indemnity, Previous Company, and Previous Policy Number can be entered at this time if the information is available and applicable. Sign dates and the Agent of Record can also be entered if a signed application has already been provided. If this information is not yet available, it can be entered at a later time. Verify that all entered information is accurate, then click the "Save" button.

After AgriNet saves the information, click the "Close" button.

Once the coverage information has been entered, click the "Edit" button in the Commodities section.

Adding Grids

To add a new Line or Grid, click the "Edit" button located in the Lines section.

A new window will open. If the CLU information is available and ready to be entered, click the green "Add Field" button on the right side of the screen.

Enter the "FSN," "Tract," and "Field" information. If CLU information is on file, the corresponding acreage will automatically populate in the appropriate field. **NOTE**: AgriNet will automatically create a Point of Reference (POR), assign it a unique number, and display the associated latitude and longitude coordinates.

Repeat the previous step until all CLU information for the Grid has been entered.

To set the Grid Interval Percentages and Insured Acres, click the blue area containing the Grid number and Insurable Acres.

Click the "Insured Acres" field and enter the number of acres the producer intends to insure. **NOTE**: The entered acreage must be equal to or less than the value displayed in the "Insurable Acres" field.

Enter the desired percentages for each interval by clicking the current value (displayed as "0") and entering the appropriate whole-number percentage. Once completed, click the Save button. **NOTE**: The total of all interval percentages must equal 100%. AgriNet will not enable the "Save" button until the entered percentages total 100%.

Identifying Uninsurable CLU's

If a CLU has been keyed and needs to be marked as uninsurable, click the checkbox next to **"UI"** on the line that should be designated as uninsurable.

From the Grid Information screen, the full CLU acreage will automatically populate in the **"Uninsurable Acres"** field. **NOTE:** Do not forget to reduce the **"Insured Acres"** amount at this time to reflect the correct total number of insured acres.

PRF Mapping Overview

Click the mapping icon

1. Use the + and - signs to zoom the map and and out. (The map can also be zoomed by using the scroll on your mouse.) 2. This will zoom the map to ensure all the shapes are visible on the map. 3. This tool will allow you to move the point of reference number. 4. By clicking this icon, the CLU layer will appear on the map. Click on a CLU to add to the map. 5. Use this tool to drawn an RLU.

Search the map by one of the following criteria: FSN, CLU, Lat/Long. Click on the "Key" icon to learn more about the search criteria.

The legend in the bottom right corner of the map will allow you to toggle additional layers on and off.

Adding and Managing PRF CLUs

Select the "Add CLU field using point" icon. This will enable the CLU layer. Click on the CLU(s) you would like to add to the map.

If a CLU is added to the map and the grid is not yet established, the grid window will open. On this window, you will need to add interval percentages. To avoid future errors, ensure the insured acres are equivalent or less than the insurable acres.

Interval percentage MUST total 100%, and any one interval may not be less than 10% or more than 50%

Once the CLU is added to the map, the F/T/F and field acres will appear along with the blue point of reference number.

Adding and Managing PRF RLUs

Select the "Create new RLU using Draw Tool" icon

Start the RLU shape with a click and click with each turn. The shape must end where it started with a click.

If the RLU crosses a county or state line, use the drop-down to select the appropriate state and county.

Once the shape is complete, it will appear orange on the map. click the "Redo" icon to start drawing all over again, or click the "Save" icon to save the shape to the map.

Note: Once the RLU is drawn and saved, the added acres will be reflected in the Insurable Acres field but not in the Insured Acres Field. You will need to manually update the Insured Acres field to include them.

To close mapping, click the mapping icon
