Navigating the DESSA & Move This World System

Dashboard

The Dashboard is your primary landing page. The available information will vary based on user role, permissions, and assessment activity. The Educator Dashboard displays: - Rating completion progress - Snapshot of assessment results - Strategy (instructional resource) previews - Competency results from full DESSA assessments - Progress tracking for support strategies

You can navigate to the different sections of the system by using the tabs listed across the top of the dashboard or by expanding the hamburger menu in the top left corner.

Tab: Curriculum

The Move This World curriculum is a proactive and preventative behavioral and mental health video-based curriculum designed from PreK through 12th grade. Within the Curriculum tab, the lessons are organized into grade level module.

Tab: Ratings

Your assigned roster of students to complete DESSA ratings is housed under the Ratings tab. Click on student's name to begin a rating and press Submit when completed.

You must complete all assigned ratings within the designated Rating Window, which is typically open for 2-4 weeks. Results for completed ratings will be available in real time.

Tab: Reports

The Reports tab includes variety of interactive reports for DESSA and Move This World implementation. The types of reports and data available will vary based on user level.

Most reports will have the "Filters" option. Expand the "Filters" section to select and apply filters when generating reports. Some commonly used filters used to view specific results include: *Sites, Grades, Rater, Custom Groups, Rating Windows*, and *Forms*. Student demographic data must be included during the system setup in order for the *Race, Academic*, and *Genders* filters to be applied.

Students' names will be hyperlinked on each report. Clicking on a student's name will lead you to their Individual Student Profile. You can also use the search bar to locate individual students.

Tab: Strategies

The Strategies tab houses a variety of DESSA-aligned instructional materials.

The **Foundational Practices** resources are short, easy to implement practices that create a positive classroom and school environment. \ Clicking that topic will expand to show the different practices and guides offered.

Below Universal strategies, you can click **DESSA-aligned Instructional Strategies** to access lessons and activities designed for explicit instruction of skills in the DESSA competency areas.

The Strategies resources are designed for universal instruction and include step-by-step directions for facilitation, along with extension activities and modifications for differentiated instruction. The activities range from quick, repeatable 5 minute ones up to full 30 minute lessons, each aligning with specific skills measured by the DESSA.

Under the Targeted Programs section of the Strategies tab, the Tier 2 Intervention Programs are available.

The Tier 2 Intervention Programs consist of 5 multi-week programs designed for targeted, small group instruction for students who need intensive skill building support. They are designed to be delivered in a scope and sequence that build skills through repeated practice and active engagement. The programs are group by grade bands: Early Elementary, Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

Tab: Training

The Training tab includes Implementation Training and the EdSERT program as options on the dropdown menu.

The Implementaton Training section includes self-paced learning modules for the DESSA and Move This World implementation, along with access to the [On-Demand Video Library](https://apertureed.thinkific.com/pages/on-demand-library).

The EdSERT program is a self-paced training course that supports educators in deepening their social and emotional knowledge, skill set, and well-being.

Support Portal

To access the Support Portal, click hamburger menu to located the Help and Support section. In full screen mode, you can find the Support Portal in the top corner of the Dashboard. It is a question mark in a circle.

Within this knowledge base, you can search specific questions, topics, or resources or browse the available categories.
