How to use Magic Edit

This guide shows how Magic Edit automatically polishes a recorded Scribe and how to review or revert its changes. Follow-up instructions cover per-step controls for accepting or reversing specific edits and saving your final version.

Scribe

**First, record your Scribe** the way you normally would (extension, desktop, or other supported capture).

When you **finish capturing**, your Scribe opens in **edit mode**. While Magic Edit runs, you’ll see **loading state** at the top (progress and status messages) — the editor stays **read-only** until processing finishes.

When Magic Edit completes, you’ll see your **polished Scribe** with changes already applied, plus a **success message** and an **Undo all** option if you want to revert everything to the original capture in one action.

**Review the result**: use **per-step controls** where offered (for example, to **keep** a step that was marked for removal or to **undo a merge**)

Make any manual edits you want, then click **Done editing** to save!

How to Turn Magic Edit On or Off

In your browser, click the **Scribe** **extension**

Click the Settings gear icon

Scroll down to 'Magic Edit' and toggle it on or off

In your Scribe Desktop App, go to Settings

Locate the Magic Edit feature at the bottom and toggle it on or off
