Setting Up The S1F2 on Tableside

Tableside mode is set up directly on the terminal. The only install step on the POS is ensuring the POS is on at least 6.10.0.0, and confirming which network the POS is connected to - as the terminal will need to be set up on the same network.

The S1F2 terminal is our wireless solution. This terminal can be set up on both counter service and Tableside simultaneously. Before attempting to setup the S1F2, fully charge the battery. This can take 3-4 hours for the initial charging.

On the backside of the terminal, you will see a sticker that notes down the serial number of the terminal. This will be the terminal identifier when reaching out to support.

On the left hand side of the terminal, there is a rubber flap covering the charging port. If not charging on the doc, the terminal can be charged using the USB-C port.

To connect the terminal to the internet, click the settings button in the bottom left corner. You will be brought to a menu where you can select "Network" . Enter the admin pin 1234, and select "Wi-Fi"

You'll be brought to a list of networks. Select the network your POS is using, and enter in the password using the on-screen keyboard that appears. The network will appear at the top of the list with "Connected" underneath once properly on the network.

Click on the triangle in the bottom left until you are back in the Terminal Menu. From here select "Device Info" to find the IP, and ensure the IP address matches the network of the POS.

Click on the Tableside App on the terminal Home screen, and enter in the Cluster Admin Token

Click on the gear Icon to open the Tableside App Settings

Click the Payment Processor to open up the drop down list. Select "Cluster"

In the POS Connection, enter in the IP address of the POS you noted down in [step 1](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Setting_Up_The_S1F2_on_Tableside__kz3Yd22jQmukCC-nYS9QWg?scrollToActionId=79ce6862). Enter the port as 6789.

You can Name the Terminal to easily Identify which terminal this is.(IE terminal 1)

Enter in the Key Identifier and Password (case sensitive):\ Identifier: Cluster\ Password: Cluster123@@

Once the Identifier and password are set, you can select "Apply" , or you can scroll further down the page to confirm the version number. There will also be an options to "Send Logs to Cluster" - this will be used by Support mainly.

Testing the Terminal

Now that everything is set up, we must do a test transaction to confirm the terminal is working correctly. Create a table on the POS to take payment.

Have the user enter in their POS user code to pull up a list of tables.

Managers will have access to all tables, where as users will only see their tables listed.

Clicking on the table number will bring up the list of payment options.

Clicking on Pay in Full will bring up the tip suggestions selected in the Tableside App Settings

The amount listed on the terminal for the tip prompt will be the pre-tax amount to stay compliant to Quebec's Bill 72 .

The terminal will prompt the customer to confirm the tip twice before prompting for the card. Select ***Pay > Ok*** to confirm the tip amount.

The terminal will prompt the customer to choose if they would like their copy of the receipt or not. If they choose ***Yes***, a receipt will print directly from the terminal. The terminal will then prompt for the merchant copy of the receipt. The user must select ***Continue*** to accept another payment. If the user does not select Continue, the terminal will auto-print after about 1 minute.

Selecting ***Split Payments Equally*** give the merchant options to split the bill up from 2 to 5 equal payments.

The tip prompting will be the same for all payment methods. When the split payment option is chosen, the terminal will automatically have the second payment ready for tip selection *(after the merchant copy of the previous receipt is printed)*

The custom amount option will allow you to enter in any amount up to the total of the bill to charge a card.
