This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough for recording an embryo transfer birth and ordering DNA testing on the Grassroots platform. Follow these steps to accurately enter the animal's details, select the DNA sample type, and complete the registration and payment process.

Portal Navigation

Navigate to [https://farmers.grassroots.co.uk/Home](https://farmers.grassroots.co.uk/Home)

Click "Births"

Birth Details Configuration

Click the Date of Birth field

Select the birth date from the calendar or type it in the field.

Select the "Embryo Transfer" option.

Enter the date of implantation.

Enter the Recipient Dam's information.

Click 'Select a Male'

Click 'Search All Males' to search the full database

Enter the Sire's name, tag number, or registration number.

Click "Search"

Select the Sire from the search results

Click 'Select a Female'

Click 'Search All Females' to search the full database

Enter the Dam's name, tag number, or registration number.

Select the Dam from the search results

Select the number of offspring born

Select the number of offspring to record now.

Click "Next"

Offspring Information

Select the offspring's gender

Enter the offspring's tag number

Enter the offspring's name

Select the offspring's color

Select the correct application type

Select the sample type you will submit for DNA testing.

Select the correct 'DNA Profile' option

Click "Add To List"

Confirmation and Payment

Click "Next"

Check the declaration box to accept the terms and conditions

Click "Submit"

Click "Pay By Card"

Select your payment method, enter your information, and click 'Pay' to finalize the transaction
