How to Process an Employee Resignation in Workday

The Termination business process in Workday is a configurable workflow that ensures all necessary steps are completed when an employee leaves Macalester. It handles everything from the initial submission to final approvals and system access changes. The process is typically initiated by the Manager.

Task Selection

Navigate to [Workday](http://workday.macalester.edu/) Home Page

Click the "Search" field.

Type "terminate employee"

Select "Terminate Employee" from search results

Employee Identification

Select employee in Employee field

Click "OK"

Termination Details

Select "Voluntary" as Primary Reason

Enter in Termination Date that they listed. Last Day Of Work and Pay Through Date will auto populate to the same date. They will all be the same.

Add in the Resignation Letter in the Attachments here.

Click "Submit"
