On Seed Funding

From the Homepage, click on the opportunity you are interested in.

You can confirm that it is a University Research opportunity underneath the "Research Compliance Questionnaire".

Click "Continue to application".

Input the Effort for each person.

If the "PI/Team Lead" is not Academic Council or University Medical Line, they will be given additional questions.

Click "Next: University Research Award"

The applicant will need to add their responses to the URA required and optional questions. Then the applicant will need to attest and input the following Department Chair details.

Once the URA portion is complete, they may fill out the application questions.

If the Application Preparer or the Application Preparer selected an individual that is - Academic Council and/or University Medical Line - PI / Team Lead then they will **not** need to attest and add the Department Chair contact information.

The below example is if Application Preparer is AC/UML and selects a AC/UML individual to be the PI/Team Lead.

If the applicant preparer was Academic Council or University Medical Line,

and they selected themselves as the "PI / Team Lead".

When clicking on "Next: University Research Award",

you can see that the application is in their own name.

The Attestation and Department Chair contact information is no longer present. It is not a requirement anymore.

The below example is if Application Preparer is non-AC/UML and selects a AC/UML individual to be the PI/Team Lead.

Click "Add another person".

Click "Indicate PI/Team Lead" to the person I know is Academic Council and/or University Medical Line.

If the application preparer is not the same person as the PI / Team Lead, it will indicate that this application is being prepared on behalf of the PI / Team Lead.

Click "Next: University Research Award"

The Attestation and Department Chair contact information is no longer present. It is not a requirement anymore.

Once the applications questions are complete, they can preview and submit their application.

Review all portions of the application. Here is a preview of the "University Research Award" section. Based on the Program Officer's discretion, you may have to answer the optional questions: - What are the overall objectives of this project? - Describe any project overlap:

Click "Submit"
