Experienced Based Pay is a specialized UCPath function used to determine and document an employee's next salary step based on:
Relevant prior work experience
UC service
Collective bargaining agreement (CBA) rules
The Experience Based Pay process is primarily used for specific represented employee groups, including:
Registered Nurses (NX)
Patient Care Technical (EX)
Healthcare Professionals (HX)
Postdoctoral Academic positions
At a high level, the process:
Calculates a proposed next step based on configured rules and employee experience data.
The proposed step is reviewed, overridden if needed, and approved before being loaded into Job Data.
Final updates are applied through a separate PayPath Mass Update process, not directly in this module.
