Copy an Existing Position

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for copying an existing position using a new Position Control Request within UCPath.

Navigate to UCPath [https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu](https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home)

On the **Workforce Administration** homepage, click the **Position Management** tile.

On the left navigation pane, select **Position Control Request**.

Select the **Add New Position** option.

Click the **Next** button.

Click the **Initialize** button.

Enter or select the position number that you want to copy.

Click the **OK** button.

All position attributes from the original position are copied to the new position. Review each field and make any necessary updates.
