Access the Syllabus Tool in Blackboard

This guide provides quick instructions for locating, viewing, and completing your WSU course syllabus. The tool allows for personalization of the syllabus while also providing the required information as well. Additionally, the tool has a feature to help create a customized AI policy for your own course.

Navigate to your course.

Select "View course & institution tools" under the Details & Actions menu.

Select the plus sign icon next to the syllabus tool. The plus sign creates the document you and your students will use to access the syllabus.

Alert! Selecting the image or word "syllabus" will **not** create the document in the Blackboard course.

You can find the "Syllabus" at the bottom of your course.

When you open the syllabus, you will be able to customize the document.

Any greyed out areas are not editable and are required by the university to be present in the syllabus.
