Batch Edit in Blackboard Ultra

This guide shows how to quickly update dates and visibility across many Blackboard Ultra items at once, saving time compared to editing each item individually. It explains selecting up to 100 items (or whole modules), using course-start or day-offset date changes, and toggling student visibility.

Navigate to <https://blackboard.wichita.edu> and then to your course in Blackboard Ultra.

Select the three dots (more options menu).

Select "Batch Edit"

Choose which items you want to edit. Select an entire module or click on the link to open it. **NOTE:** you can only edit 100 items at a time. See the total number of items selected at the bottom of the screen.

Click the checkbox beside the item. Click on a module checkbox to select all items inside the module. Click on the "Item" checkbox to select all items in the course. **NOTE:** you can only edit 100 items at a time. See the total number of items selected at the bottom of the screen.

Click "Edit dates"

Change dates based on the date the course starts, or by a number of days. If using course start dates, under "Current start date," enter the date the previous semester started; under "New start date," enter the start date of the new course.

Once you have made your selections, click "Edit Dates"

To edit visibility, follow the same process to select items.

Click "Edit visibility"

Click the "Visible to students" field.

Click "Save Visibility"

Click "×" to exit Batch edit.
